To strengthen our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic professional who can ensure our commitment to excellent service. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will support the Sales Team with administrative and commercial tasks, ensuring the proper handling of shipments in accordance with ADR, IMDG, and IATA regulations, and overseeing compliance with customs and excise procedures.
Job Description:
1. Prepare quotes and process orders to provide optimal support to the sales department.
2. Forward orders to logistics and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
3. Inform customers about their orders and provide administrative support to the commercial field sales team.
4. Accurately input data into the management system and handle invoicing.
5. Address customer complaints and follow up on invoices for correct financial processing.
6. Actively maintain customer information and follow up on complaints to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
7. Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and technical skills to further optimize customer service.
8. Manage shipments and packaging of hazardous materials in compliance with international regulations (ADR, IMDG, IATA).
9. Assist with the handling of customs and excise procedures for international shipments.
Profile:
1. Previous experience in an administrative or commercial role is a plus.
2. Excellent knowledge of Dutch with professional proficiency in English.
3. Able to work independently and pay attention to detail to avoid mistakes.
4. Remains calm and efficient under pressure and adapts quickly to new situations.
5. Understands customer needs and strives to always offer the best service.
6. Team player, contributing to a positive working environment.
7. Knowledge of ADR (European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road), IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code), and IATA (International Air Transport Association) is a must.
8. Experience with customs and excise procedures for the transport of chemical products is a strong plus.
