Sector VP Design and Technology Services
What you will do
Design and Technology Services [DTS] is imec’s ASIC services and IC supply chain, using imec foundry and platforms and using industrial foundries, services and facilities. This business line includes the -link service offering, which has the objective to enable our customers to design new ASICs, give access to mask tape out services, foundry MPW services and assembly and qualification services from imec’s broad partner network. With a specific focus on startup companies, system houses and academic labs around the globe, -link enables breakthrough innovations, based on qualified technologies, for its customers.On top of this current offering from -link, DTS is adding emerging technology services based on mature semiconductor platforms that are initially developed within imec’s R&D organization. This enables the wider adoption of cutting-edge technologies at scale.With your clear vision, you will inspire your team to further define and execute the DTS strategic roadmap. More specifically, you will:
1. Ensure establishment and growth of DTS and ensure the realization of revenue targets and the creation of value to customers.
2. Coach and guide, as an experienced manager, your directors and senior managers who have responsibility for the successful operation of their assigned areas.
3. Own and Execute the business plan for the entire DTS business.
4. Monitor sales performance and budget follow-up with finance.
5. Create a compelling vision of imec’s role in the DTS segment.
6. Set investment strategy (based on ROI expectations, risk, time horizons and markets) and prioritize between opportunities based on available (internal or external) resources.
7. Promote and represent the company in the appropriate scientific, political, and business communities through personal appearances and lively involvement.
8. Manage our partner and customer relations to secure our ecosystem.
9. Steer the transfer of new products and services from R&D towards scalable manufacturing.

Who you are
10. You have in-depth knowledge of ASIC technology and its applications and a minimum of ten years of experience in business management, planning and financial oversight.
11. You have experience in evaluating the market potential and go-to-market plan of new technology platforms.
12. You show excellent people and operational management skills.
13. You have a proven track record in internal and external stakeholder management, communication, and change management.
14. Excellent and proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
15. Experience in developing and growing new technologies and / or new markets in a commercial foundry is a plus.
16. You have a master’s degree in engineering or equal by experience.
