As a Belgian and internationally recognized applied research center, VITO aims to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world. The activities of our experienced and driven energy technology team cover cutting-edge technology evolutions, such as battery energy storage systems, renewable systems, electrification of heating, transport & industrial equipment, and further improvement of the energy efficiency of technical applications.
We’re looking for an experienced R&D engineer to strengthen our sustainable electrical energy devices team and help us to further develop our innovative, next generation battery management system.

Profiel
1. You have a PhD or a master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an R&D environment.
2. You combine this degree with a broad experience in designing, adapting, and applying [power] electronic systems and electrical components.
3. You have good knowledge about today’s electrical energy storage systems.
4. You have a solid foundation in multiple programming languages e.g. Python and C.
5. You have a hands-on mentality and critical thinking.
6. You like to play and win as a team.
7. You express yourself fluently in English (oral and written), knowledge of Dutch is an added value.
