As a Finance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for finance operations in Europe to ensure the efficient delivery of services and achievement of organizational goals.
You will manage and coordinate the GL, AP, AR and Treasury functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations and providing strategic, value-added insights to senior leadership.
You will lead the Europe Finance Operations Team with two direct reports, the Accounting Manager (AP & GL teams) and Credit Risk & Treasury Manager (AR teams), developing and implementing strategic initiatives and fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
1. People Leadership :
2. Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to GL, AP, AR and Treasury teams to drive performance excellence, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and achieve service delivery targets.
3. Establish performance metrics, goals, and KPIs for the finance team and monitor progress towards objectives.
4. Effectively leading, coaching, developing, and motivating the team to achieve the team’s objectives and their personal development goals while ensuring and promoting a collaborative culture aligned with our company valued behaviors.
5. Conducts Team meetings, cascading general business information, as well as establishinga company culture within Griffith Foods to encourage employees to volunteer innovative ideas, put forward improvements and participatein the development of the Team.
6. Proactively and visibly supports the Employee Well-being.
7. Finance Operations Managemen t:
8. Lead the Europe Finance Operations (including GL, AP, AR and Treasury activities) by supporting the Accounting Manager (AP & GL teams) and Credit Risk & Treasury Manager (AR teams) to resolve complex matters and/or incidences and define priorities.
9. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
10. Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, standardization to enhance efficiency and improve service quality after the recent implementation of the new ERP (Dynamics 365).
11. Collaborate with other departments to ensure cross functional alignment with business objectivesand to support decision-making.
12. Relationship Management :
13. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, Finance Business Partners, and functional leaders to understand their service needs, priorities, and expectations.
14. Serve as a key point of contact for escalations, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives related to Finance Operations.
Requirements :
15. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting. Professional certification (CPA) or previousBig4 Experience preferred.
16. Progressive experience in Finance with at least 5 years in a leadership role within Finance Operations or a similar environment.
17. Proven track record of successfully leading teams and driving operational excellence.
18. Strong understanding of Finance Operations, processes, and best practices, with strong expertise in areas such accounting.
19. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making.
20. Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable plans and initiatives.
21. Proficiency in project management methodologies, change management practices, technology solutions (ERP systems - especially in D365), workflow automation tools, etc..).
22. Proficiency in English
