We are currently looking to integrate a Cloud Native OPS Engineer Senior into a project for a prominent client in the banking sector .
Mission Description
As a Cloud Native OPS Engineer Senior, you will join a highly specialized team working within the Services & Infrastructure department. This team provides essential support to delivery teams that develop banking applications. The team comprises both System Engineers (Ops) and Software Engineers (Dev), working together to ensure secure, efficient software delivery within the client's cloud environment. You will play a key role in maintaining the BlueCAP platform, which is built on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and manage the on-prem cloud environment, BlueCAP, built on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Support internal delivery teams by providing reusable components such as logging, metrics, AMQ, and vulnerability scanning.
• Manage global resource allocation (adding nodes) and introduce new products to the platform.
• Collaborate with system engineers, developers, product owners, and system architects to ensure secure and optimal operation of applications.
• Write and update documentation, checklists, and best practices to support delivery teams.
• Perform new development, bug fixing, and offer on-call support on a rotational basis (approx. once every 6 weeks).
Qualifications
Requirements
• Strong experience with Kubernetes; knowledge of OpenShift is a plus.
• Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL is beneficial.
• Experience with Python, Victoria Metrics, Kibana, and Grafana is a plus.
• Understanding of Agile development environments such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Fluent in both Dutch and English.
• A proactive, flexible, and quality-driven mindset with a focus on performance, safety, and stability.
• Willingness to be on call for weekends and nights (once every 6 weeks).
