About us:
Saitec Offshore Technologies, established in 2016 as part of the Saitec Engineering group, is dedicated to developing innovative and economically efficient floating platform technology known as SATH (Swinging Around Twin Hull). The company also provides a wide range of engineering services in the offshore wind industry. In August 2023, Saitec Offshore Technologies completed the installation of the full-scale 2MW demonstrator project (DemoSATH) in the Bay of Biscay, making it one of the few companies globally with an operating full-scale floating device.
Responsibilities:
As a Hydrodynamic and Coupled Analysis engineer, you will:
* Perform coupled turbine-floater-mooring system calculations in the time domain for load analysis for certification processes and design project phases.
* Conduct hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analyses.
* Prepare and execute wave tank test campaigns.
* Analyse test results and calibrate numerical models accordingly.
* Study and evaluate DemoSATH monitoring data to understand its operational behaviour.
* Develop and maintain tools and software to optimize workflows between departments.
* Design mooring systems for different platform sizes and locations, including technical reports.
* Support R&D proposals through specific reports and studies.
* Participate in international conferences and research projects in collaboration with industry leaders.
Requirements:
* Education: Degree in Hydrodynamics/industrial engineering/aeronautics or similar with a master's qualification and with prior experience in hydrodynamic and coupled analysis calculations.
* Experience: at least 1 year of professional experience in running coupled analysis.
* Technical Knowledge:
* Programming skills in Python, Matlab or similar.
* C1 level English (international working environment).
* Experience with tools such as Wadam, WAMIT, Ansys Aqwa, OpenFAST, SIMA, Orcaflex, or DeepLines is a plus.
* Knowledge of applicable regulations in the offshore wind sector, such as IEC standards, as well as classification and certification standards like ABS, BV, or DNV.
