Job Description:
Welcome to a pioneering cleantech company, where innovation meets sustainability to meet the challenge of humanity's waste!
Drawing inspiration from over 480 million years of natural evolution, this company harnesses the extraordinary capabilities of fungi to break down complex molecules and produce eco-friendly chemicals.
We are looking for a Bioremediation Leader to drive the development and growth of the Bioremediation Business Unit.
In this role, the successful candidate will spearhead the scale-up of their cutting-edge integrated bioremediation solution, which combines advanced digital soil microbiology genomic modelling with bespoke fungal-based remediation technologies.
You will promote these solutions to clients and lead the expansion of bioremediation to address complex contaminants (TPH, HAP, PFAS, etc.).
The ideal candidate's motivation should be fueled by the urgent need to restore our planet. This role is more than a job; it is a commitment to be part of a team that implements the best solutions for a sustainable future.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Build and lead a multidisciplinary technical team, fostering collaboration and innovation while guiding their professional development.
2. Lead the commercial and technical development and scale-up of the bioremediation solutions, conduct and supervise field demonstrator remediation projects, and develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
3. Collaborate with the strain & fermentation department to set up coordinated mycoremediation projects (both in R&D and commercial scopes).
4. Collaborate with the genomics and modelisation department to integrate ML-driven soil bioremediation models.
Your Qualifications:
1. A Master’s degree or a PhD in Environmental Engineering/Soil Sciences (Bioengineering, Civil Engineering, etc.) with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the environmental consulting/engineering industry.
2. Preferred experience includes hands-on field experience with soil bioremediation, operating and maintaining remediation systems, in-situ and ex-situ remediation design, and applied environmental research.
3. An entrepreneurial spirit looking for an impact mission.
4. A proven track record of successfully leading technical teams.
5. Familiarity with startup culture and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Joining this cleantech is an opportunity to be part of an amazing project driven by innovation and a passion for nature. They will thrive in a collaborative environment where their voice is heard and their impact on Earth can be profound!
