Overview: Client is seeking an Automation & Instrumentation Technician responsible for maintenance and operations within established quality, safety, and environmental standards. The role ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of installations, buildings, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Operational Tasks:
* Plan and execute complex maintenance and operational tasks to ensure optimal functionality.
* Prepare maintenance work (e.g., spare part reservations, coordination with VEM, OSH management).
* Develop dimensional sketches, P&IDs, and electrical diagrams.
* Perform operational tasks, including inspection rounds, utility management, and cap tests.
Problem-Solving & Process Optimization:
* Identify, analyze, and resolve malfunctions within your field to prevent disruptions.
* Signal defects and register malfunctions/alarm logs, taking appropriate action.
* Propose solutions and preventative measures for recurring issues.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Analysis:
* Participate in improvement projects and technical installations to support efficiency.
* Conduct risk analyses and workstation assessments.
* Ensure successful commissioning of new technical installations through rigorous testing.
Documentation & Reporting:
* Report work status to leadership and contribute to knowledge retention.
* Draft instructions and manuals, maintaining logbooks and system records.
* Supervise and adjust technical schematics (P&IDs) as needed.
Team Leadership & Support
* Provide technical and operational instructions to internal and external employees during maintenance work.
* Ensure work progresses smoothly through active follow-up.
Job Requirements:
* Strong expertise in automation and instrumentation.
* Knowledge of business and automation networks and installations is preferred.
