Construction Manager
We are currently looking for a Construction Manager to join a Global Pharmaceutical company based near Brussels for a one year contract with the possibility to be extended.

End date : One year contract
The Construction manager is responsible to manage and command the execution of construction work. The person will be part of a team of 22 people, including PM (Project Manager), SME (Subject Matter Expert), and Construction Manager.
Main responsibilities:
1. During the study phase, he is accountable to evaluate work requirements and related costs.
2. Commanding and adapts the works execution planning respect
3. Defining with the EHS team the safety measures and control that they are set in place at the right time, place and person to deliver safe works
4. Accountable that contractors comply with all work UCB requirements (Worksite regulations, HSE General regulation for external companies, SOPs, Work Requirement Sheets,…)
5. Communicating proactively with the project team (Engineering Lead, Project manager and SME)
6. Coordinating the different trades and defines the priorities
7. Accountable of the site accommodation area with the SME & subcontractor (Space, Flow - Human / Waste / Raw mat, Power, Access)
8. Participating in the weekly technical coordination meeting of the project –
9. Communicating to the Engineering lead any activities delays or observed execution
10. Actively participating to risk analyzes (JRA / PLCA / LOTO, ...)
11. Since these are daily permits, the role involves daily work to issue them.
Candidate’s requirements:
12. The person we are looking for must be on the site early in the morning, before 7 am.
13. They will travel from one project to another throughout the day to ensure everything is in order and running smoothly.
14. At the end of the day, they need to visit the site to complete a close
15. out signature and prepare a report on what is working and what isn't (to address the next morning the points that require special attention).
16. Attend meetings with the SMEs, and they must be skilled in coordination.
17. Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
18. Technical skills (Building, HVAC, Piping, CAD, E/I, etc.).
19. Strict adherence to safety ; must know how to stop a project if they see a risk.
20. Must be fair and collaborate well with building managers and have foresight.
21. Safety training is a major plus.
22. Languages: English is mandatory; French is mandatory
