Job description
1. You work closely with your stakeholders in different areas and departments within the whole Lotus Bakeries Group, helping them translate their business strategy for new and existing product development into sourcing strategies. Next, you ensure that the chosen sourcing strategies are executed accordingly.
2. You develop a category plan, resulting in a yearly action plan, and manage your appointed packaging portfolios and its suppliers on a strategic and tactical level.
3. You analyze market information and processes in order to develop effective sourcing strategies, aligned with the company’s ESG targets.
4. You work closely with your main stakeholders on translating their business strategy of existing and new product development
5. You manage packaging and supplier portfolios on a strategic, tactical and operational level while searching for new opportunities.
6. Concluding framework contracts while finding an optimal balance between quality, reliability, sustainability and total cost of ownership is also part of this role.
7. You also monitor contracts, volumes, price differences, raw material evolutions on a regular basis.
8. When introducing newly sourced suppliers, you handle their end-to-end implementation.
Profile
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:
9. A Master’s degree in economics combined with 2-5 years of experience in procurement; FMCG and/or packaging is a plus
10. Strong negotiation skills with an analytical mindset and a commercial feeling
11. A high value on open communication in building up professional relationships
12. An inquisitive nature that shows engagement, motivation and professionalism
13. Fluency in English; Dutch and/or French is a plus
14. An openness for occasional travelling and supplier visits
