Responsibilities:
1. Latest Virtualization Technologies and Operating Systems
2. Design, implement and troubleshoot Infrastructure Failover Clusters (VMware and Microsoft)
3. Latest Server, Storage, Client and Infrastructure Networking hardware technologies
4. Directory, Identity and Access Management in large enterprise environments consisting of multiple interconnected and federated Active Directory Domains and Forests
5. Automated Application and Service Deployment (Ansible/Kubernetes)
6. Scripting in PowerShell, Python, Ruby and vSphere CLI. Demonstrate experience in various areas of Software Engineering including:
7. Email and collaboration services technologies (e.g. MS Exchange and Skype for Business)
8. Requirements elicitation and management
9. Software design, implementation and testing
10. Configuration management practices and tools
11. Knowledge of ITIL IT service management model
12. Experience and applied knowledge of Service Transition are required
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
1. Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
2. Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization
3. Experience from working in a service provisioning organization
4. Experience with at least two of the following:
1. Cloud Computing Systems such as Microsoft Remote Desktop Infrastructure and VMware Horizon View
2. Design and implementation of Active Directory Federation Services in large enterprise environments
3. Enterprise Systems Management services, methods and tools (i.e. SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM)
4. WEB Portal Technologies and High Availability Database Systems (i.e. SQL Cluster)
5. 1+ year experience supported by professional certification in the implementation and administration of COTS products such as MS Windows Server, Linux, Oracle, MS SQL, VMware, MS Hyper-V, MS SharePoint, MS Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services, MS Exchange, MS Skype for Business, Client OS (Windows, OSX, iOS, Android etc.)
DUTIES/ROLE:
1. Provides professional and technical contributions to the conception, development and execution of CES engineering projects
2. Contributes to the design, implementation, configuration management, and deployment systems and services
3. Participates in the installation and configuration management of laboratory-based prototype systems developed in CES SL and ensures their coherence with other systems (e.g. communications networks) or aspects (e.g. Security)
4. Supports the monitoring and troubleshooting of system failures or bugs and provides solutions to restore functionality
5. Supports the automated deployment of defined software baselines
6. Provides documents and implementations of assigned services as well as troubleshooting guides
7. Schedules, participates and leads technical support teams in support of Projects and exercises
8. Coordinates, plans and schedules team activities, estimating resources and financial requirements
9. Provides training when necessary in order to maintain highly skilled and trained technical support for the Service Line
10. Gives briefings and presentations; writes and/or reviews reports and articles for publication
11. Performs ad hoc tasks related to CES SL's responsibilities
12. Deputizes for higher grade staff
13. Performs other duties as may be required
