At European Tech Recruitment we are currently working alongside a rapidly expanding startup, helping them to bring on board a Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership
* Oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to deal negotiation and closure.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients through regular communication and dedicated support.
* Consistently achieve or surpass sales targets, ensuring timely order execution and payment collection.
* Customize solutions to align with clients’ unique technical and business requirements.
Business Development
* Identify and seize new market opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and establish additional sales channels in the photonics sector.
* Conduct market research to monitor trends, customer demands, and competitor activities.
* Develop and execute strategies to position the company’s technology as a leader in optical communications.
Customer Relationship Management
* Maintain an organized and current customer database.
* Act as the primary contact for key accounts, managing pre-sales discussions, negotiations, and post-sales support.
* Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and enhance service quality.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
* Collaborate with senior management to align sales and business development efforts with the company’s overall objectives.
* Create and deliver detailed reports on market trends, sales performance, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
Essential:
* Demonstrated experience in sales or business development, preferably in Photonics, optics, electronics, or high-tech industries.
* Strong skills in analysis, negotiation, and strategic decision-making.
* Exceptional English communication abilities, both written and spoken.
* Self-driven and adaptable, capable of excelling in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
Desirable:
* Fluency in Dutch, French, or German.
* Educational or professional background in physics, optics, or electronic engineering.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and market analysis tools.
* Understanding of European markets, including established customer networks or market insights.
* Enthusiasm for technology and innovation, with a focus on Photonics or related fields.
