About You and This Role
Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Business Communications Manager for Energy & Climate, Feedstocks & Commodities, and Olefins, Aromatics & Alternatives. This role is located in either Terneuzen (The Netherlands), Stade (Germany), Wiesbaden (Germany), Seneffe (Belgium), or Taragonna (Spain).
In addition to being responsible for global internal and external business communications for Dow's Energy & Climate; Feedstocks & Commodities; Olefins, Aromatics & Alternatives businesses, the role involves contributing to key projects aligned to Dow's Decarbonize & Grow strategy and its greenhouse gas emissions reduction efforts.
Responsibility Areas
* Internal / Executive Communications & Counsel: Provide critical communications support to Dow executives and business leaders (Energy & Climate; Feedstocks & Commodities; Olefins, Aromatics & Alternatives); ensuring high-quality internal communications are synched across the enterprise to inform and drive alignment around strategic themes and shared goals.
* Social Media / Public Relations: Identify opportunities for thought leader positioning through media relations, speaking engagements, and content placement on global social media platforms.
* Decarbonize & Grow: Support implementation of a global communications strategy focused on Dow's commitment to reduce the company's greenhouse gas emissions and the attendant impact on climate change.
* Measurement: Manage the measurement mechanisms of Dow's communications programs to ensure a return on investment and/or support the case for strategic adjustments.
Qualifications
* A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
* At least 3 years of overall professional experience; ideally in marketing communications, site/geographic communications, internal communications or issues management.
* Desire to learn about the key inputs that enable Dow's success, such as the feedstocks and energy strategies that drive the company's competitive advantage.
* Experience working with diverse, remote, and international teams.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), presentation, and content development skills, with proven ability to translate technical and complex topics into creative and compelling communication assets.
* A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced, global environment.
* Ability to work independently and on own initiative.

This role will support the Business Communications Director for Energy & Climate as well as business leadership teams.
The candidate will support the development and execution of communications activities including:
* Message development and deployment across a variety of internal and external communications channels.
* Engage with Energy & Climate and Hydrocarbons business executives and senior leaders to support crisis communications, media relations opportunities, executive communications, organizational changes, and employee communications.
* Monitoring and flagging emerging climate and decarbonization-related issues and opportunities for engagement.
* Engaging with and supporting Dow subject matter experts by providing them with the messaging, presentations, and visuals needed to amplify Dow's messaging.
* Maintain the presence and freshness of relevant content on various Dow channels (dow.com; social media; etc.).
* Collaborate with Public Affairs teams across businesses and sites to ensure the latest proof points of Dow's contribution to a low emissions future are appropriately publicized.
