This Senior Portfolio Team Lead position offers the opportunity to manage the Flexcity operations in Belgium, by leading a team of 4 highly skilled Portfolio Managers and Demand Response Analysts from different backgrounds.
Job Description
As the Senior Portfolio Team Lead for Flexcity Belgium, your role is divided into:
Leadership and Management - 40%
* Manage the flexibility portfolio in Belgium, by leading the team of Portfolio Managers and Demand Response Analysts.
* Keep a strong sense of collaboration and partnership within the portfolio team, and between the team and other departments of Flexcity.
Technical Project Management and Expertise - 40%
* Secure and optimise operationally and financially our asset portfolio, through different grid services, while managing associated risks.
* Support Flexcity’s growth by collaborating with the sales and central product teams.
Reporting and Administration - 20%
* Resource allocation
* Project status updates
* Performance reviews, evaluations and continuous improvement
* Documentation maintenance
* Training and development follow-up
Portfolio management is a crucial responsibility at Flexcity, as Portfolio Managers constantly valorise the current portfolio on the different markets as well as keep an important relationship with our asset owning partners. The responsibilities of the portfolio team include:
* Manage continuous flexibility delivery of our portfolio
o Follow the service delivery
o Performant daily pricing and bidding, according to the internal bidding strategy
o On-call duties, first responders in case of alarm or incident
* Reporting
o Customised and automatic report, dashboarding management
* New asset onboarding
* Pre-sales backtests and presentations
* Client settlements
* Relationship with:
o Flex providers (Account Management shared with Sales)
o TSO, suppliers and other partners
* Documentation and ensuring data quality
* Contribute to the evolution of our tools and processes in coordination with the Tech and Product teams
* Expertise in local grid services & assets
* Continuous analyses of diversification opportunities
Qualifications
Hard Skills
* Fluent in English, with other languages considered as a plus: Dutch and/or French
* Management and leadership experience, with 3 years of experience or equivalent
* Knowledge in the Google Cloud Platform and Python environment
* Solid foundation in the energy sector, preferably electricity markets, backed by over 3 years of relevant experience, ideally well versed in Ancillary Services
* Familiar with the network balancing services and the regulation of the electricity sector in Belgium, even though knowledge in other EU countries will be taken into account as well
* Project management experience
