1. The role:
In this position, you will be actively involved in product development to ensure that NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) targets are met and maintained, with a particular emphasis on gear and geartrain specifications for optimal NVH performance. Your responsibilities will include:
2. Leading the NVH development of geartrain components in close collaboration with the NVH project, testing, CAE, and geartrain design teams.
3. Setting NVH requirements and defining specifications for geartrain components, focusing on both macro and micro gear design for NVH.
4. Leading, analyzing, and reviewing simulations and tests to support gear development, including design validation.
5. Resolving NVH-related issues.
6. Coordinating with team members, including those from the NVH testing and CAE teams, as well as product and component owners.
7. Communicating NVH-related topics internally and externally.
8. Requirements:

9. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Automotive, or equivalent). A relevant PhD is a plus.
10. Over 5 years of experience leading NVH gear development projects in the automotive industry.
11. Proven ability to plan and execute development tasks, including setting NVH requirements, validation, and issue resolution. Experience with noise and vibration testing and/or CAE, focusing on gear noise using typical software tools.
12. Proficiency in gear design and simulation tools such as KissSoft and Masta.
13. Strong technical expertise in automotive and transmission NVH.
14. Capability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team of design and evaluation professionals.
15. Excellent oral and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
16. Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Excel.
17. Ability to effectively collaborate with other disciplines within the organization to achieve results.
18. Proven track record of driving results.
19. Strong skills in customer relationship management.
