The business unit “Main Line – Mass Transit – Products” is part of Siemens Mobility Belgium NV and offers products, systems, and solutions for different signaling projects in Belgium, mainly for the Belgium Railway.In this context, the Regional Unit wants to install a Project Management Office led by a manager. An important program is ongoing to upgrade and modernize important parts of the Belgium Railway signaling equipment. Both the development of the Technical Solution for ETCS (European Train Control System) and Interlocking as the roll-out of this Technical Solution to the different Railway lines all over Belgium are included in the Program.
The Business Unit is looking to install a Project Management Office Manager (m/f/x) to coach the project managers in the different programs and running contracts. You will:
1. Establish a more enforcing and controlling culture, supported amongst others by a dashboard indicating the project progress according to customer/contractual expectations.
2. Manage and coach the different project managers involved in different contracts/programs. Work in the matrix organization with these dedicated program/contract structures.
3. Have extensive contact with the design team, the materialization team, and the Technical Execution Team.
4. Have extensive contact with the Partner Manager responsible for Installation.
5. Establish consistent dashboard of plannings of the different projects.
6. Distribute the workload and adapt allocation of projects to project managers if and when needed.
7. Establish training paths together with the L&D PM coach for Siemens Mobility.
8. Establish an environment to store all related data on a sharepoint.
9. Sets up and assures financial follow-up of projects together with the CPM Team.
10. Improve and document PM related process to gain process automation and efficiency.
The ultimate goal is to increase customer satisfaction and profitability of the related projects.
Required Technical Skills:
11. Hands-on experience in electromechanics or ICT.
12. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in all aspects of PMO Management or Project Scheduling.
13. Stakeholder Management.
14. Risk/Opportunity Management.
15. Financial follow-up.
Basic or extensive knowledge of some of the following topics will be considered as an important advantage:
16. Managing projects executed according to Cenelec Standard.
17. Managing projects in SIL4 environment.
18. Technological knowledge about ETCS and or Interlocking projects.
19. Knowledge about executing projects on the Belgium Railway.
20. Or alternatively exposure to industries of highly regulated nature.
Required Soft Skills:
21. Team player with strong communication skills.
22. Procedural awareness – Accurately follow processes.
23. Language skills: Dutch / French / English, German is an additional asset.
24. Feeling for EHS topics (Environment – Health – Safety).
