As a Junior Procurement Officer at Fluxys, you will play a crucial role in supporting our energy infrastructure activities, particularly in the procurement of specific materials related to our gas installations, including valves, flanges, and pipes. You will also be involved in the procurement of services, which may include EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) projects for new installations or modifications to existing installations.
Responsibilities
* Analyse, understand, and accurately describe the needs of internal clients
* Oversee the entire tender/purchasing process
* Research and select potential suppliers
* Negotiate purchasing terms with suppliers, evaluate offers, establish comparisons, and optimize costs
* Place orders and monitor their execution
* Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
* Update commercial specifications based on quality, cost, and deadline objectives
* Manage ongoing contracts: renegotiations and claims, in consultation with internal clients
* Contribute to defining a strategy for purchasing specific categories of goods and services
Qualifications
* Master's degree in Industrial Sciences, Supply Chain or a related field
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal clients
* Strong analytical skills, to analyze data and determine purchasing needs
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
* Attention to detail, precision, and rigor in work
* Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different departments
* Flexibility, ability to adapt to changes and new priorities
* Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative
* Previous experience in a similar role (technical purchasing) in the industrial sector is an asset
* Knowledge of contract management processes, drafting, negotiation, and monitoring is an asset
* Fluency in Dutch, French and English is essential for effective communication with our diverse teams and suppliers
