Will you help shape the future of intralogistics? Job Description The Hardware R&D Controls Engineer is responsible for electrical design of our system modules. This includes conceptualization, design, engineering and testing of new prototype components and full systems. Tasks and responsibilities: You take the lead on R&D activities concerning controls components and the full functioning product. You develop schematic design in Eplan. Creating of safety PLC blocks for Beckhoff and or Siemens. You are responsible for the selection and nomination of controls components (sensors, drives, HMI, etc.). Making calculations, if needed. You interface with mechanical specialists to design a complete, mechatronic, solution. You make full production files (BOMs, schematics, datasheets). You discuss test specifications and set up with the Test & Validation team. You work together with production engineering to bring our products to the market. You keep up to date with new market trends in your field. Qualifications: You have a Bachelors or Masters degree in electronics, automation or a related field. You have at least 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in the material handling, manufacturing, automation, machine, or aerospace industries. Notions of functional safety, performance levels, risk analysis and sistema. Your expertise is mainly in controls, but you have a keen interest in the full product picture, including mechanical design and software. You are an autonomous team player. English is a must (C1 or higher). You have experience with Eplan or something similar. You have experience with Twincat and/or TIA portal. Knowledge of Dutch is highly recommended.
