Join our dynamic Finance team and play a key role in driving business excellence and continuous improvement. Working from our office in Oudenaarde (BE), you will be responsible for preparing, developing, and analysing management accounting information. As a Business Controller, you will provide critical financial insights, collaborate with international teams, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Tasks:
1. Implement and develop a full production cost approach in collaboration with Operations and R&D. Experience in full costing is a plus.
2. Conduct operating expenses budget and monthly actuals (gap analysis).
3. Perform detailed margin analysis in close cooperation with the Sales Director and Purchasing department (actual vs. budget/forecast).
4. Act as a sparring partner for various stakeholders in the company (Operations, Sales, etc.).
5. Follow up on and develop various projects in collaboration with management.
6. Oversee inventory, assess slow-moving and obsolete stock, and take necessary actions.
7. Work closely within the Business Control team (3+ colleagues) to define and improve best practices and enhance processes.
8. Promote a culture of continuous improvement (AI) by refining financial reporting, improving data accuracy, and maximizing operational efficiency.
9. Calculate scenarios, business cases, and working capital impact for decision-making.
10. Initiate, monitor, and improve KPIs such as stock risks.
Profile:
1. Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
2. Experience in a production controlling environment is a plus.
3. Strong project follow-up and management skills.
4. Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and enthusiasm for working in an international network.
5. 3-5 years of experience as a Financial or Business Controller.
6. Strong analytical skills and experience with financial control tools, techniques, and processes.
7. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel: pivot tables, functions, data query) and ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a strong plus).
8. Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
9. Willingness to work in an international organization and communicate across all levels.
