The Senior Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing FWCs, working under the guidance of an Account Director or the Head of ADs. This role requires expertise in client management, including regular client engagement to expand portfolios and gather feedback on agency performance. The Senior Account Manager works closely with project teams, providing client insights, feedback, and direction to ensure satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include developing financial and technical proposals, defending them, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. The role requires meeting deadlines and performing effectively under pressure. Additionally, the Senior Account Manager will create FWC activation plans, implement strategies to meet KPIs, and provide regular reports on financial performance and client satisfaction. Ensuring timely delivery of final reports and collection of payments is also crucial.
Qualifications
1. Up to 6 years of experience in communications, preferably within EU institutions
2. Master’s degree in communication, political science, marketing, or a related field
3. Strong understanding of communication areas including media relations, social media, creative concept development, event management, and production
4. Experience in financial management, budget preparation, and subcontractor management
5. Extensive project management experience, from inception to closure and reporting
6. Excellent client-facing skills with strong communication and negotiation abilities
7. Commercially driven, proactive, and eager to stay up to date with communication trends
8. A collaborative team player with leadership qualities and motivational skills
9. Proficient in English and French
Key Responsibilities
10. Drive client engagement and manage FWCs in line with financial KPIs
11. Develop strategic client engagement plans and participate in sales meetings
12. Represent the agency at client and networking events to build strategic and commercial relationships
13. Create, manage, and defend complex budgets
14. Continuously develop new communication skills to enhance proposal defense and sales efforts
15. Collaborate with New Business (NB) teams to identify new opportunities and provide strategic input for tender development
16. Oversee financial, contractual, and operational management of FWCs/accounts with support from senior leadership
17. Ensure high-quality, professional work by applying Prince2 processes and monitoring contracts
18. Work closely with various service teams to develop innovative and creative offerings for clients
19. Foster a collaborative team spirit that promotes professionalism and curiosity
20. Ensure regular reporting on client and FWC status with risk assessments in place
21. Contribute to the implementation of ICF Next’s new vision and explore synergies with other ICF divisions where relevant
22. Report regularly to the Head of ADs
