Hospitality Talents, a recruitment agency specialized in Hospitality profiles, is currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated Italian Chef de Cuisine to join the team of our client in Ghent.
Our client is a high-end restaurant in Ghent offering an exquisite Italian dining experience, with a focus on traditional cuisine from the Tuscany region. With a seating capacity of 60 indoors and 30 outdoors, this modern and welcoming venue will cater to discerning guests seeking authentic, creative, and high-quality Italian cuisine.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee the kitchen operations, ensuring the quality and presentation of all dishes.
* Create and develop the menu, showcasing the flavors of Tuscany while incorporating innovative touches.
* Manage stock, orders, and ensure strict control over production costs.
* Lead the kitchen team, recruit and train staff, and maintain a motivating and efficient working environment.
* Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
* Actively contribute to the development of the restaurant's culinary identity and its continuous evolution.
* Collaborate closely with the management team to ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the success of the establishment.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Head Chef in high-end restaurants, with expertise in Italian cuisine, preferably from the Tuscany region.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate the kitchen team.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time and quality constraints.
* In-depth knowledge of HACCP standards and quality control in the kitchen.
* Creative, passionate about Italian cuisine, and able to evolve recipes while respecting traditional flavors.
* Strong communication skills and cost management capabilities.
