OBJECTIVE
- Organize the production department
- Optimize the production parameters
- Ensure the polyvalence and training of the operators in production
- Improve productivity and efficiency and reduce costs while securing high quality of product
- Focus on safety
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- You are a key actor in the Continuous Improvement program, taking the lead on implementing solutions, following the performance through the defined KPIs and accompanying the production team in the right “change” spirit
- Work closely with the Safety, Quality, CI, Supply Chain and Maintenance departments to set up improvement initiatives.
- Ensure safety rules are followed by the team. Actively assist in improvement proposals, safety reporting (near misses, hazard spotting, opportunities,…). Supporting the team members in improving our safety standards on equipment and facilities, as well as behavioral aspects in their job.
- Continuous improvement of our quality by active participation on quality meetings, sharing results, informing people with useful feedback, analyzing non-conformities and challenging our standard operating procedures to move our quality forward;
- Overlooking all processes to minimize the costs for maintenance, product waste, inefficient resource management, rework, overtime, etc;
- Respect the deadlines for delivering to (internal) customers by involvement on scheduling & launching production orders on time, monitoring internal flow of goods (raw mats and FG’s);
- Contribute to continuous improvement with an open mindset, crossing department borders, bringing opportunities and proposals;
- Supporting the team by coaching and directing team members, depending on their needs and in line with the strategical operational objectives.
- Care for the environment by supervision of (mainly) waste streams & emission management as well as minimizing the impact on the environment by minimizing waste, transport needs, energy consumptions, .. whenever possible.
- Reporting of production results & KPI’s, measure and improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Monitors daily production against forecasts and make adjustments
- Manages production staff and ensure the recruitment required for flexibility or periods of excess activity
- Provides information and training on technical developments, skills transfer and safety, quality and environmental requirements
- Define training needs and organize training schedules and follow up
- Follow up of payroll data in Kelio software (worked time, overtime, holidays,…)
- Member of the Sitex & HACCP team
Profil
SKILLS, CAPABILITIES, REQUIREMENTS & KNOWLEDGE
- Management experience in food industry
-- Ideally industrial engineering/ food engineering background
- Good knowledge of ERP software
- Quality systems (HACCP principles)
- Team player
- Leadership
- People manager
- Convinced by continuous improvement/5S
- Languages : French, English, German is an asset
