The role

As Inside Service Sales, your mission is to maximize the sales and profitability of the parts and service business across the Belgium and Netherlands territory by promoting sales of spare parts and services to new and existing customers, in accordance with agreed business plans whilst working closely with the rest of the sales team to maximize opportunities and climb the service ladder.
This new function will increase the efficiency of the overall operation and increase Service Sales. We're looking for someone based in Belgium, commutable distance to our Zaventem office.
Reporting directly to the BLM VTS for Leybold N&E, you will be empowered to make a difference whilst also given the support and opportunity to develop your skills.
Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
* Prepare and control sales documentation such as creating new customer profiles and updating customer databases.
* Responsible for phone sales of call-in and walk-in customers, and deferring leads to outside salespeople, as appropriate.
* Make outbound sales calls to existing and lost customers and prospects.
* Support and promote business with refurbished pumps.
* Support the rest of the sales team by identifying opportunities to up-sell and maximize our customer share.
* Maintain strong working relationships and communication between customers and internal stakeholders.
* Support sales administration tasks.
* Develop and maintain good customer relationships and ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
* Provide effective sales data, including quotation lead time and order ratios (including lost order reports).
* Effectively update and maintain the C4C system to maintain a 360 view of our customers.
* Attend training as required to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
* Undertake ad-hoc project work (campaigns, other marketing initiatives) as required.
* Cross-sell customers to appropriate services such as equipment sales.
* Back up during holidays and illness of the person in charge of the Service administration.

What we expect from you:
* Qualifications in a technical, science, or engineering-related subject is preferable; educated to degree level is desirable.
* Good influencing and presentation skills.
* A demonstrable track record of sales success and skills, ideally within the vacuum science/industrial sector.
* Significant system, product, and applications expertise, particularly within industrial application sectors and products.
* Strong direct selling experience and negotiation skills.
* Strong interpersonal and customer development skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team, or to lead a team in the execution of an account or territory strategy.
* Good commercial awareness.
* Good understanding of contractual terms and conditions and negotiation capability.
* Ability to influence and engage with others in pursuit of business opportunities.
* Ability to create problem resolution plans and drive to conclusion.
