The European School Brussels II is recruiting: 1 EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT ASSISTANT - Secondary cycle 20-hour fixed-term contract plus 5 teaching periods per week – 01/09/2025 The European Schools are an intergovernmental organisation offering multilingual and multicultural education. The educational support assistant plays an important role in supporting pupils with special needs. The support assistant accompanies the pupil to class during lessons and/or to the playground and ensures that the day runs smoothly. He/she communicates easily with the pupil's various teachers and also with the parents. Swedish mother tongue or C1/C2 level in Swedish Good knowledge of French and/or English. A teaching or educational diploma or relevant training in the field of special education. Knowledge/experience with strategies to support students with special educational needs. Creativity in finding ways to adapt the curriculum, flexibility and a proactive attitude to problem-solving. Have the skills required to work with children of all abilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with teachers, parents and other support staff, including specialists. Start date : 01/09/2025. Fixed-term contract until the end of the school year (31/08/2026) with the possibility of extension. Place of: European School Brussels II.
