Placing freelance Business and Functional Analysts across Belgium
For a large back-office migration project, I am searching for a freelance Project Manager to lead the transition from an existing system provider to a new one. The current provider is decommissioning its application by the end of 2026, and the organization is moving to a new, open platform that offers API integrations and improved functionality.
This migration is a high-priority initiative, and they need an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in back-office migrations to ensure a smooth transition.
You will be responsible for overseeing the project from planning through to execution, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations to ensure a successful migration to the new system.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the back-office migration project.
2. Work with key stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables, aligning the project with business goals.
3. Manage project scope, schedule, and resources, ensuring the migration process runs smoothly and efficiently.
4. Oversee the implementation of the new open system, ensuring seamless integration with existing technologies and workflows.
5. Facilitate regular status meetings and provide clear communication to all project stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and issues.
6. Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
7. Support change management efforts, ensuring the transition to the new system is smooth for all affected users.
8. Document and report on project progress, deliverables, and outcomes, ensuring all milestones are met.
Profile
1. 5+ years experience as an IT Project Manager.
2. Experience in managing back-office migration projects, ideally within IT or business process migrations.
3. English is required (Dutch language skills are preferred).
