We’re looking for an Analytical Scientist who is a problem-solver with excellent analytical skills to join our Analytical Development Science department, based in our office in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.
About the role:
In this role, you’ll bring your scientific expertise to the Braine ADS Physico-Chemical Analytics (PCA) group. You’ll work on projects from early clinical phases to commercial stages, developing and validating methods to meet regulatory standards. You’ll also transfer these methods to internal or external partners and support process understanding and validation. Additionally, you’ll help prepare regulatory submissions, ensuring all activities meet quality standards and timelines.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll:
1. Manage and perform daily lab activities for method development and validation
2. Prepare, review, and approve documentation
3. Analyze and verify data, presenting results in team meetings
4. Collaborate with regulatory teams and other departments for knowledge transfer
5. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., QC, research) and external partners for knowledge transfer
6. Represent ADS in cross-functional project teams
You’ll ensure all activities follow HSE rules, GMP and GSP standards, and regulatory requirements for each product development phase.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
1. Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in analytical techniques for biologicals or chemicals in a bio/pharmaceutical company and GMP regulated lab
2. Expertise in analytical techniques like chromatography, electrophoresis, or mass spectrometry for quantifying impurities and purity in protein chemistry
3. Strong laboratory skills and autonomy in method development/validation
4. Ability to author and review comprehensive GMP and GSP documents in English
5. Proven experience in the biotech/pharma industry with strong analytical troubleshooting and leadership skills
