We are seeking an consultant to support a leading organization in the Belgian energy sector with key strategic studies, including the development of a multi-year policy plan for the electricity transmission grid.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with industry experts and stakeholders to develop multi-energy scenarios. You will also facilitate public workshops and coordinate efforts with other grid operators to ensure a comprehensive and forward-thinking approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather, analyze, and structure data for scenario development (policy plans, market trends, industrial decarbonization strategies, etc.);
* Lead the co-creation of future energy scenarios with expert groups;
* Develop visual representations and present scenario assumptions to stakeholders during workshops;
* Prepare reports and supporting documents for public consultations;
* Manage stakeholder feedback and respond to inquiries from industry experts;
* Contribute to additional strategic projects within the organization as needed.
Your Profile:
* Master’s degree in economics, engineering, or a related field within the energy sector;
* Strong knowledge of the energy market and keen interest in industry developments;
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail;
* Proactive mindset with strong organizational skills;
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
* Experience with data visualization and analytical tools (Python, R, VBA) is an advantage;
* Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus.
