As a Mechanical Installation Coordinator, you are responsible for the mechanical installation on the customer’s site, to deliver within defined timelines a final reliable working product, matching quality, performance, and customer satisfaction requirements.
Your responsibilities will be to:
1. Support Design & Construction Coordinator in design review by reviewing drawings
2. Support Design & Construction Coordinator in building (pre-)survey
1. Verify building measures provided by the surveyor
2. Propose and request site modifications to allow rigging activities to run smoothly
3. Verify correct implementation of modifications by running a pre-installation site visit
3. Customize RFQ files and participate in subcontractor selection
1. Take part in the subcontractor selection based on budget and requirements
2. Ensure the selected subcontractor is certified for rigging-related activities
4. Coach and train the subcontractor
1. Ensure subcontractors work safely, are properly trained, and are provided with coaching
5. Organize Mechanical rigging activities
1. Prepare installation upfront with subcontractor by defining a rigging planning
2. Discuss and agree with PM on the proposed sequence
3. Ensure all needed actions and materials are ready to be used
6. Supervise Mechanical rigging subcontractor on-site and provide technical support
1. Participate in the selection of rigging-related subcontractors (survey & mechanical)
2. Ensure subcontractors work according to internal processes and planning
3. Provide subcontractor support before and during installation
7. Report mechanical rigging status with the required level of details and accuracy
8. Monitor and report installation progress daily and propose remedies in case of deviation
9. Validate acceptance of the subcontractor’s work and take over certificates
10. Establish returns of experience, suggest improvements and new ways of working
1. Participate in standards and procedure definition and the training of peers
2. Help in updating documents (planning, procedure, checklist) whenever deemed necessary
What we value
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent by experience
• Strong experience in industrial mechanical installation
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD
• Driven, proactive and hands-on individual
• Able to organize your work autonomously, take initiative and report progress
• Very good communication skills
• Good oral and written skills in English given the international context
• Willing to travel up to 60% of your time, also during weekends
• Eager to work on both short- to long-term challenges, inside a multi-cultural team
