Our client, located in the Geel area, is a leading innovator in the market of electromagnetic absorbers for anechoic chambers. They are dedicated to developing cutting-edge solutions that drive progress and efficiency.
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled R&D Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the development of new technologies.
As an R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing innovative products and technologies.
You will work closely with the Process Engineer and other cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Our client produces high-efficiency electromagnetic absorbers, working in frequency ranges from 30 MHz up to 110 GHz.
You will be involved in the search for new materials to develop new concepts that help their customers achieve their goals, particularly in measuring wireless devices with high precision.
Your tasks will include:
* Conducting research and development to improve existing products and create new solutions.
* Designing and developing prototypes using advanced engineering techniques.
* Guiding the Production Department to implement the prototype into mass production.
* Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth product development.
* Working in the chemical lab, measuring chemical materials for their mechanical and electrical properties.
* Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
* Documenting technical findings and preparing reports.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science; a Master's degree is a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to work to deadlines and report results on time, while producing high-quality reports.
Assets:
Experience with polyurethane foam, polypropylene, and polystyrene materials.
Experience with different adhesives and how they are tested for efficiency (e.g., tensile machine testing).
Experience with RF theories or practices.
