FN Browning Group is seeking an Internal Auditor to strengthen their Internal Audit department, headquartered in Herstal.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a background in internal audit (5 years) who can conduct assignments from planning to reporting with limited supervision.
The role provides high exposure to Management and requires partnering with the Business and Assurance teams while maintaining independence. Building trust and being part of the team is key to this function.
You will have the chance to support the Chief Audit Executive in shaping the new Internal Audit department and improving existing practices and methodologies.
Main Responsibilities
* Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.
* Develop, document, and execute audit programs and business practices aligned with applicable Internal Audit Standards.
* Document audit work according to Internal Audit Standards.
* Evaluate and validate Internal Audit recommendations with Management before finalizing every audit project.
* Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure agreed corrective actions are implemented.
* Travel up to 25% (FN America, Browning North-America, FN UK, Browning Viana, Noptel Finland, Miroku Japan).
* Stay updated on developments within the Internal Audit ecosystem (new IIA Standards, Risk Assessment, Risk Management, Fraud, Cybersecurity, COSO, etc.).
* BUILD positive working relationships with Business Units and Support Services.
* Foster continuous improvement and focus on pragmatic, value-adding recommendations.
Requirements
* University degree and proven experience (5 years) in leading/executing audit assignments in an international organization.
* Excellent communication skills in French and English.
* Proficiency in internal audit methodology, knowledge of IIA Standards, and auditing best practices.
* Autonomy and ability to work under limited supervision.
* Capacity to identify and assess risks and recommend practical solutions.
* Critical thinking to challenge the status quo and propose new ways of working.
* Ability to build trust and navigate a multicultural environment.
* Thoroughness, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Prior experience in the defence industry.
* Experience using ERP systems, specifically SAP.
* Experience with Data Analytics and BI tools.
* Professional certifications are not required but encouraged.
