Are you an experienced Operations Manager looking to make a significant impact?
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and manage two of our manufacturing plants. This key leadership role will involve overseeing daily operations, driving process improvements, ensuring safety and compliance, and optimizing overall production efficiency. The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards across both facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day operations of two manufacturing plants, ensuring that production goals and KPIs are met on time and within budget.
* Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
* Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards, maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
* Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement through lean manufacturing principles and other process optimization techniques.
* Manage inventory control and supply chain operations, ensuring timely procurement of materials and minimizing downtime.
* Track and report on operational performance, including production metrics, cost control, and quality assurance.
* Lead and mentor plant management teams, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
* Collaborate with senior leadership on budget planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven track record of successfully managing multiple plants or large-scale manufacturing operations.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement processes, and production management.
* Good leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
* Solid understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements in manufacturing.
* Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive operational efficiency and cost reduction.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software (ERP systems, etc.).
* Language: Fluent in Spanish and English, French is a plus
* Mobility: Candidate must be ready to travel weekly to visit plants
