Do you want to be part of our PwC Pharma & Life Sciences (PLS) team & practice?
PwC is looking for a talented professional with experience in PLS business consultancy to join our PwC Management Consulting department. You will join a team tackling complex challenges spanning clinical development, business operations, quality, and value-based health care. Our strategy is to build trust, deliver sustained outcomes and help clients solve their most important problems by combining human ingenuity and understanding with the right technology. First, you’ll manage R&D or Quality projects at Pharma or Biotech clients, including strategic assessment, developing recommendations and implementation of new operating models. Second, you’ll actively contribute to the development of PwC center of excellence. This means contributing to business development activities including service offering, scanning of the market and account planning, and supporting market development activities including writing thought leadership, point-of-view papers and/or blog posts.
What you’ll learn and do
As a Consultant Research & Development, your main responsibility will be on any or a combination of the following activities:
* Strategic Advising: Providing strategic advice to pharmaceutical and life sciences companies and the healthcare sector to enhance their R&D, Quality and/or value-based healthcare initiatives. This can involve evaluating current R&D, Quality and/or value-based healthcare practices and recommending improvements.
* Process Optimization: Identifying inefficiencies in the R&D pipeline and Quality processes and suggesting process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce time-to-market for new drugs and therapies.
* Technology implementation & innovation Management: Assisting clients by managing their innovation processes through identifying opportunities for drug development and adopting new technologies. This could include implementing efficiencies and enhancing quality processes through technology. As well as, supporting clients by generating insights on ways to improve care pathways and work on enhancing organizational readiness for value-based healthcare.
* Data Analysis and Insights: Analysing data to provide insights that can drive decision-making in health industry and healthcare projects. This involves leveraging advanced analytics and digital tools.
* Project Management: Leading and managing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget while meeting client expectations. Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful outcomes.
* Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating collaboration among various stakeholders, including researchers, healthcare providers and professionals, regulatory bodies, third party payers and authorities, and (other business units in) industry (pharma, medtech, biotech, data/digital), to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
* Change Management: Supporting clients in managing the organizational changes that come with implementing new R&D & Quality strategies or technologies, and transformation efforts towards value-based healthcare principles.
Who you are:
* Master’s degree in biomedical sciences, (health) economics, (bio-)engineering, business administration, sciences or comparable by experience
* Minimum one to five years (minimum) of experience in consultancy and/or the Life Science industry
* Knowledge of (pre-)clinical regulations as well as quality and risk management.
* Know-how and interest in trends (science/data/digital) within Life Science & Healthcare industry
* Ability to combine specialist technical knowledge, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with consulting skills (project management, presentation and communication skills, etc.) while working directly with management and employees on the clients’ premises
* Fluent in English, and Dutch or French
* Flexibility to work in different environments and locations and easily acquire new skills and expertise
* Autonomous and proactive attitude with an entrepreneurship mindset.
