We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Application Owner to join our team. The Application Owner will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of specific applications, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and users. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills to effectively manage and optimize application performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Application Life Cycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned applications, including deployment, maintenance, and retirement.Monitor the performance of assigned applications based on reports, operational trends, and stakeholder feedback, and implement corrective actions.Draw up the strategy for the application in cooperation with relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.Manage licensing, certification, and budgeting ( limited ) aspects of the applications.Maintain ownership and knowledge of application setup (technical and functional).
2. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to understand requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business goals.Gather and manage requirements from stakeholders to ensure the application meets their needs.Maintain clear and effective communication with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on technical performance and improvements.
3. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor application performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to enhance functionality and user experience.Optimize and review application Opex run based on showback reporting and possible rationalization or modernization of the assigned application.
4. Issue Resolution and ITSM Processes: Act as the primary point of contact for application-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.Ensure related ITSM processes are enforced and complied with, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release and Deployment Management, Service Request Management, Service Level Management, Configuration Management, and Knowledge Management.
5. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of application configurations, processes, and procedures.Ensure end-user, technical, and support documentation is always up to date in the organization with proper version control.
6. Compliance and Security: Ensure applications comply with relevant regulations, standards, and security protocols.Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the applications.Conduct thorough risk assessments and monitor for any End of Support or End of Life notifications.
7. Training and Support: Provide training and support to users, ensuring they are equipped to utilize applications effectively.Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions within the team.
8. Capacity and Availability Management: Ensure the application has sufficient capacity to meet current and future demands, including the impact on infrastructure and platforms.Define and monitor availability requirements for the application, implementing measures to meet agreed-upon targets.
9. Business Continuity: Support the business continuity process and disaster recovery capabilities for the applications, including regular testing of backup and recovery procedures.
10. Continuous Improvement: Assist Service Managers and other ITIL process managers with Continual Service Improvement activities, such as Service Level management, monitoring, performance management, efficiency, and customer and user experience.
11. Enhancements and Projects: Create and prioritize the work backlog for the application portfolio in line with the strategic roadmap.Coordinate the realization of changes in sprints, releases, or other projects.Support the development team in implementation and participate in sprint planning, review, and backlog refinements.Ensure updates of application documentation after project release.

Qualifications:
12. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
