Work Environment
The Directorate General of Digital Transformation of the Federal Public Service - Strategy and Support (SPF BOSA) is looking for an experienced and ambitious Domain Architect who will help shape the Federal Authentication Service (FAS)
The FAS and its applications are responsible for the online authentication of nearly 6 million unique users and have since become the backbone of e-government. Over the past 3 years, online authentication via FAS has increased by almost 500% and we expect this growth to continue. In addition, we are preparing the various areas, including IAM, on an organizational and technical level, for European regulations which should allow all EU citizens to connect via FAS in order to settle their affairs in Belgium online.
You will join and advise the Identity, Authentication and Access (IAA) team. This team is, among other things, responsible for the design, development, management and future expansion of the FAS. In addition to working with the colleagues of the IAM team, you will also work closely with the EA team which reports to the General Director of Digital Transformation (DT). As an IAM domain architect, you report to the IAM Domain Manager
Function description
1. You maintain the existing architecture in the current IAM application landscape and the develop the architecture of tomorrow.
2. You contribute to the definition of the desired state of the FAS, with the various stakeholders, which will be validated by the Architecture Board and presented to the necessary councils and / or General Management.
3. You contribute to the roadmap as well as to the portfolio management in order to justify the necessary investments
4. You understand business and strategic processes and can challenge the process owners to simplify them when needed.
5. You use the needed models and methods to map architectures.
6. You ensure the consistency of your concepts with architectural principles and their adequacy to the overall business architecture.
7. You participate in the network of architects and the "Architecture Board".
8. You participate in international IAM events in to stay on top of the latest trends and developments and update the team on this.
9. You define standards and best practices
Profile Description
10. You have a Master, a Bachelor in an IT sector or equivalent by experience
11. You have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the following areas: Enterprise -, process -, application -, information - or technological architecture (creation, execution, control and improvement)
12. Identity and Access Management (principles, application, technology).
13. You have a good knowledge of Togaf. Familiarity with EIF or EIRA is a plus.
14. You have good knowledge of ArchiMate and/or Sparx
15. You have good knowledge of business, application, data and technology systems modeling, especially through BPMN, UML and ERD modeling techniques.
16. You are knowledgeable about user centric design, design sprinting and user journeys, or are willing to learn about them.
17. You are ready to work in an environment where technologies such as SOA, RESTful, JavaEE and their related technologies are used (Spring, Maven / Gradle, JUnit, ...)
18. You are French-speaking or Dutch-speaking with a good knowledge of the other national language
19. You have a sound knowledge of English
20. You want to make a difference by facilitating in the future development of FAS and thus making the e-government future-proof
