About the Job:
In This Role, You Will:
Negotiate and implement Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) strategies to meet the cost and service commitments/standards Odyssey provides to its various customers. This includes establishing and maintaining a respectful, professional and ethical supplier relationship on behalf of Odyssey. He/she provides the required LSP market intelligence within Odyssey and to its clients.
Logistics Procurement Manager is:
* Responsible for providing in depth information on the LSP market within Odyssey and to its clients.
* Work with Operations and Carrier Management Specialists to implement carrier contracting and routing strategies within their client base.
* Responsible for supporting new client change management process and commercial startup (implementation of new LSPs).
* Responsible for negotiating new supplier terms when new client requirements are presented.
* Responsible for analyzing, designing and implementing logistics opportunities that either lower cost or enhance service.
* Works with Director Logistics Procurement to develop and implement best practices and methods.
* Responsible to identify and screen new potential suppliers.
* Responsible for processing new suppliers through the Odyssey qualification process to determine they are fit for service.
* Responsible to negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
* Responsible to provide the Operations and Carrier Management Specialists with master data for execution of shipments.
* Together with Carrier Management Specialists responsible to monitor overall -LSP performance and effectiveness to satisfy client requirements.
* Maintain a good working relationship with Odyssey’s strategic supplier’s management.
* Responsible for providing input specifications and review to Odyssey’s IT application development.
* Responsible to provide input to internal sales for new client assessment.

Required:
* Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Economics, or equivalent through experience. Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
* Languages: fluent in English. German and/or any other European language are an asset.
* Proficient in the standard Microsoft applications and spreadsheets; willing and able to learn other systems.
* Excellent data analysis skills using desktop computer tools and software.
* In depth knowledge of the LSP market.
* Significant industry experience and mastery in Logistics procurement and operations.
* Solid negotiations skills and track record of accomplishment.
* Can adapt to various new responsibilities and customer idiosyncrasies efficiently (is scalable and can manage change effectively).
* Self-directed and proactive.
* Seeks continuous improvement.
* Team player.
* Works effectively with client, carrier and Odyssey personnel within all organizational levels.
* Able to prioritize and manage multiple critical projects simultaneously.
* Knowledge of hazardous materials.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
Location:
This is a hybrid in-office role based in Antwerp – Berchem, Belgium. The role requires seldom travels to operations center in Gdańsk, Poland, and Client’s locations.
