Key Responsibilities
* Communicate with and support customers to provide pre- and post-sales technical support for a growing genomics focused product offering.
* Troubleshoot product use and applications by using customer provided data and information, as well as IDT sales and manufacturing databases.
* Answer all customer inquiries received by phone, email and chat.
* Support other IDT service departments and Sales through consultation or escalation of product questions, customer issues, and technical inquiries as needed.
* Handle the intake and completion of custom design requests.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related science field required.
* At least 3 years of experience with genomics applications in an industry or academic research laboratory environment, or in the life science industry, or relevant experience, required.
* Excellent computer skills that include Microsoft Office applications and proficiency in typing required.
* Excellent communications skills required.
Preferred Qualifications
* M.S or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, biochemistry, molecular biology) is preferred.
* 5+ years of experience with genomics applications in an industry or academic research laboratory environment, preferred.
