About the role:
The RSCA Youth Academy is excited to offer an (unpaid) internship opportunity for passionate individuals looking to gain practical experience in football coaching. As a Lower Academy Assistant Coach Intern, you will be directly involved in on-field coaching activities, working closely with the coaching staff to support the development of our young athletes. This internship offers a unique chance to contribute to the training and growth of future football talents while developing your own coaching skills in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
2. Assist the coaching staff during training sessions, providing support with drills, exercises, and other on-field activities.
3. Help in planning and organizing daily training schedules and programs tailored to the needs of young players.
4. Monitor and provide feedback on player performance under the guidance of the head coaches.
5. Collaborate with coaches to prepare and set up training equipment
6. Participate in coaching meetings and contribute ideas to improve training techniques and player development.
7. Ensure a positive and motivating environment for young athletes to learn and grow.
8. Support the coaching team in maintaining records of player attendance, progress, and performance.
Learning Opportunities:
9. Gain hands-on experience in coaching young football players within a professional academy setting.
10. Develop coaching skills and understanding of training methodologies specific to youth development.
11. Learn to work with a diverse group of young athletes, helping to foster their physical and mental growth.

Requirements:
14. Current student in higher education, preferably in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field and thus the ability to submit an internship agreement from the educational institution..
15. Strong interest in football coaching and youth development.
16. Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and young athletes.
17. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in French or Dutch.
18. Proactive and energetic, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire young players.
19. Knowledge of football training techniques and player development.
20. Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a dynamic environment.
