About the role This role is comprised of 2 dimensions. The Market Research/Data Category Lead is responsible for developing and executing global category strategy, managing supplier relationships, and driving procurement performance aligned with business goals. The Procurement Business Partner for Europe Business Unit (EU Procurement Impact) focuses on ensuring that Procurement contributes to business strategy for UCB Europe business, fostering strong relationships within UCB Business Partners. Both roles emphasize the importance of collaboration, continuous improvement, and leveraging digital tools to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness. Who youll work with You will build strong partnerships with internal teams and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives and to deliver patient & shareholder value across all dimensions of Procurement (Efficiencies, Risk Management, Innovation, Sustainability, Speed to Market, User Experience). What youll do Manage a Global Team (2 direct reports) and network and collaborate with other Global Category Leads to develop and execute global category strategy to optimize commercial leverage, mitigate risks, and enhance sustainability. Be a member of the Global Marketing & Selling Procurement Team within UCB Global Procurement. Gain market/industry intelligence, identify trends, and analyze the competitive landscape to assist strategic decision making. Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and lifecycle management of contracts. Oversee end to end spend performance and drive continuous improvement across processes and systems. Understand UCBs European Business strategy and ensure Global Procurements strategies and objectives contribute to the European business. Interested? For this role were looking for the following education, experience, and skills Ideally, the candidate will hold a MSc (or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar strategic Procurement role. Operational and/or academic background for the spend portfolio under assignment. Present complex data and procurement strategies in a compelling, relatable, and impactful manner to influence stakeholders and drive alignment. Proficiency in procurement systems, analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance decision making, identify efficiencies, and drive innovation. Analytical and strategic thinking to assess risks, anticipate challenges, and develop robust, forward looking procurement strategies.
