Job Description:
Equans in Hoboken is looking for a Head of Projects (Offshore Wind).
In the context of the Equans Offshore division strategy and within the set framework, plan, organize, lead, coordinate and control the following activities in order to achieve excellence in the delivery of our projects:
* Project management activities
* Construction and operations activities in our Hoboken yard and Offshore
* Planning, cost control and risks
* Resources development and management according to the execution strategy
Responsibilities include:
* Project Management:
Responsible for the project management processes in a structured way, monitor and administrate the project processes, lead the project managers in a supportive and coaching way, implement and report on the project KPIs & milestones, ensure a proper focus is implemented on the cost and contractual aspects of the project, preparing the monthly project management review meetings (monthly project health checks), work closely together with the other discipline leads to escalate project needs and optimize the multidisciplinary processes.
* Construction:
Responsible for organizing that the works are carried out as safe and efficient as possible for all parties on the substation, coordination of all activities on the substations, with a clear visibility of all construction activities, responsible for transportation and lifting processes, responsible for the work preparation together with construction managers to ensure an efficient and lean process is in place.
* Project Controls:
A robust cost control process of our projects is a key activity in the delivery of successful projects, planning our projects (physical progress, milestones and resources) is key to deliver our projects in a robust, efficient and effective way, risk management of the different projects is key, as well to follow up closely. You will be required to conduct detailed, realistic assessments of project risks and manage them effectively.
* Projects Department:
As Head of Projects, you will lead and develop a team of project directors, project managers, package managers, construction managers and field engineers.
Qualifications & Skills:
* You have a master's degree in engineering. It is a clear asset to supplement this with an excellent track record related to (offshore) projects & applications.
* You have relevant experience in the construction or energy sectors, with intimate knowledge of the finer workings of EPC contracts (minimum 10 years).
* With your experience in motivating & supervising project teams in an international context, you have gathered the necessary leadership skills to lead our teams to further excellence.
* You have very good knowledge of (EPC) projects, construction & procurement.
* You have a sufficiently strong personality to be able to function in a changing environment with high stakes and tight deadlines.
* You are able to manage good relationships with the client and our partners while monitoring Equans' interests.
* Communication skills: English & Dutch. Knowledge of French is definitely an added value.
