Introduction
At ArcelorMittal Belgium, we are developing the Green Primary project that entails the replacement of one blast furnace, by a Direct Reduced Iron plant (DRI) and two Electrical Arc furnaces to be able to produce almost half of our current production through a more sustainable production route.
This project must enable a reduction of CO2 emissions by almost 30% compared to 2018 and must enable ArcelorMittal Belgium to go to zero emissions by 2050.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a talented and passionate Electrical Discipline Engineer specialized in LV to join our Green Primary project team. As an Electrical Discipline Engineer in this project, you will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and implementing low voltage electrical solutions that are part of this ground-breaking project.
What does the job entail?
* Responsible for electrical integrity within the different subprojects with the focus on low voltage
* Designing/reviewing electrical systems, control panels, and operator panels according to applicable standards and regulations.
* Performing technical analyses and calculations to ensure the efficiency and safety of electrical installations.
* Collaborating with other disciplines, such as mechanical engineers, to develop integrated project solutions.
* Leading technical reviews and resolving electrical issues throughout the project.
* Maintaining contact with suppliers and selecting appropriate electrical components.
* Providing detailed documentation and reporting for internal teams and clients.
* Reviewing relevant documentation coming from the Engineering Offices, Original Equipment Manufacturers or Construction companies
Are you the right candidate?
* A master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Sciences, or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing low voltage electrical systems and installations.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant electrical design software and tools.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
* Passion for sustainability and the ambition to contribute to a greener future.
