Corporate Legal Counsel (US Law specialist)

To support this momentum and ensure we are fully protected legally, we are seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Counsel with expertise in listed companies to join our legal team.

As our Corporate Legal Counsel, you’ll have a strategic role, protecting and advancing I-care’s legal interests across all entities in over 20 countries. This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise in corporate governance, M&A, and compliance in a dynamic, high-growth international setting. You will report directly to our CEO and CFO and be at the core of high-impact decision-making.
* Strategic Legal Oversight: Defend and protect the interests of I-care’s legal entities, from HQ to subsidiaries, providing comprehensive legal counsel to mitigate risks.
* Risk Management: Identify and advise on legal risks tied to company projects, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions, especially in the US.
* Broad Legal Advisory: Offer expertise in diverse areas including capital markets, finance law, corporate, commercial, tax, employment, and international law.
* Contracts and Transactions: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and key legal clauses to support growth and partnerships.
* Dispute Resolution: Assist in managing disputes, acting as a key point of contact with external experts, tax specialists, and legal bodies.
Your Profile
* Background: Master’s degree in Law and at least 6 years of experience.
* Experience: Ideally, you have successfully fulfilled a role as a legal counsel in a publicly listed company, preferably with experience in the US.
* Language Skills: Fluent in English, with French and Dutch as strong assets.
* Communication Skills: Adept in written and verbal communication; skilled at analyzing, summarizing, and explaining complex legal matters.
* New Technologies: Familiar with the latest technologies that can increase efficiency and productivity.
* Problem-Solver: Naturally analytical with strong decision-making skills, able to assess and respond to multifaceted issues confidently.
* Adaptable: Thrive in an evolving, international environment, with a client-centered approach that resonates with our multicultural team.
* Resilient: Remain effective and composed, even in challenging or high-pressure situations.
