We are looking for a new Finance Manager Assistant within our successful subsidiary located in Brussels. In this role you will be providing support to the Finance Manager, working in tandem to support accounting & tax of the different companies based in Belgium and the Netherlands as well as support the office management administration.
What You’ll Do
Every day is different, but below is a sample of what you will experience and expect to accomplish:
1. Participate in preparations for monthly and quarterly closings
2. Prepare monthly account analysis as well as the preparation of specific accounting entries
3. Work according the rules of American accounting (use of US accounts)
4. Prepare statistics for the various Belgian and Dutch institutions in case applicable
5. Management of expense reports and different types of payments
6. Management of supplier invoices (from PO creation to payment). Plus support accounts payable for different departments.
7. Review of VAT declarations
8. Preparation of tax returns
9. Preparation of statutory accounts
10. Update of rental capitalization following US rules
11. Updating bank signatures
12. Participation in the implementation of projects

13. 2-3 years of experience bachelor’s degree in accounting
14. Experience in a multinational, and in the SAP system is an asset
15. Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good base of English
16. Versatile profile flexible in different administrative tasks
17. Good knowledge of Excel
18. High level of accuracy and an eye for details

19. We offer a one year part-time contract (four days per week), with a possibility of an extension
