As a Procurement Officer, you will manage our company's procurement process. This includes the sourcing of suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
In this position, you’ll be part of a team of 4, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement and with regular contacts with stakeholders within the company locally, and internationally with the ERGO Group.
What the key tasks will look like
1. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize sourcing and supplier selection processes, and maintain accurate records within these processes, of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor information.
2. You will identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms.
3. You will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
4. You will coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as IT, Facilities, Marketing, and HR to align procurement activities with business needs.
5. You will maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor information.
6. With a growth mindset, you stay abreast of market trends, developments, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions, and identify opportunities for cost-saving and process improvements.
The skills and competences you will need:
7. You have at least a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
8. You can rely on a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement
9. You are able to fluently communicate in both English and French/Dutch.
10. You are a strong negotiator, and have good contract management skills with an eye for detail.
11. You are an excellent communicator with both internal and external stakeholders, and hold collaboration and teamwork in high regard.
12. You already have a proper proficiency in procurement software, experience with Coupa specifically is a plus.
13. You are able to analyze every problem in order to come up with an appropriate solution.
14. In order to manage your projects, you can rely on good organizational skills to deliver apt results.
15. You have expert knowledge of procurement processes (P2P, S2C, vendor management…).
