Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Indirect Buyer to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and procurement processes for various indirect categories, including maintenance, tooling, services, consulting services, and small capital expenditures (CAPEX). Your responsibilities will include ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining high standards of quality and fostering strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sourcing & Procurement:
* Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories, including maintenance, tooling, services, consulting, and small CAPEX.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.
* Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers who provide the best value, quality, and reliability.
* Supplier Management:
* Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent service delivery, resolve issues, and improve supplier performance.
* Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with internal standards and contractual agreements.
* Contract Negotiation & Management:
* Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, focusing on cost control, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
* Manage contracts, ensuring compliance and renewing/updating contracts as necessary.
* Cost Management & Budgeting:
* Monitor and manage the budget for indirect procurement categories, ensuring cost optimization while maintaining quality standards.
* Work closely with the finance team to ensure purchases align with financial forecasts and budgetary constraints.
* Compliance & Reporting:
* Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and sustainability goals.
* Prepare and present procurement reports and analysis to management, highlighting trends, cost savings, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
* Proven experience in Procurement, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment;
* Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
* Familiarity with procurement tools, ERP (SAP), and procurement best practices;
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Languages : native in Dutch + English;
* Location : Zaventem, 3 days on-site.
