Sustainability Coordinator

About the role

Become our first dynamic and innovative Sustainability Coordinator and lead pioneering sustainability initiatives across Belgium.
You will explore how we can switch our vehicles from gas to electric propulsion and how to integrate recycled materials into our operations. You will also develop communication materials to make our employees aware of our sustainability goals and their progress. You will drive the development, coordination and implementation of sustainability projects across Belgium.
Duties:
1. Develop and implement impactful sustainability projects. Ranging from coming up with smart ways to reduce waste to improving efficiency in our processes;
2. Coordinate sustainability initiatives across departments with the goal of creating synergy and joining forces. For example, you may conduct a study on industry (Transportation & Logistics) best practices in sustainability;
3. Seamlessly communicate and coordinate with headquarters on sustainability projects;
4. Function as a central point of contact within the organization for all matters related to sustainability;
5. Monitor and report (to the Managing Director of one of our three divisions) on the progress and success of sustainability initiatives.

Are you the perfect fit?
6. You have a bachelor's or master's degree within the field of environmental or sustainability sciences;
7. A first working experience within Sustainability is a strong plus;
8. You can communicate fluently in both Dutch and English;
9. Excellent project management and organizational skills;
10. A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and in a team;
11. A strong interest and passion for sustainability and the ability to develop creative solutions.
