**Freelance Contract**
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with expertise in EPLAN to design and develop electrical systems across various industries, including power distribution, renewable energy, building services, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and draft electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using EPLAN P8.
* Develop and maintain bill of materials (BOM) and ensure accurate component selection.
* Work on power distribution, switchgear, and electrical panel designs for industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
* Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and short-circuit analysis to optimize system performance.
* Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements (IEC, NEC, UL, BS, etc.).
* Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems into broader project designs.
* Assist in tender documentation, cost estimation, and project planning.
* Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
* Maintain and update technical documentation, ensuring proper revision control.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Strong proficiency in EPLAN P8 for electrical design and documentation.
* Experience in power systems, building services, or infrastructure projects (not automation-related).
* Familiarity with electrical distribution, lighting systems, renewable energy, or substations.
* Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, UL, BS, etc.).
* Ability to work independently as a freelancer or within a project team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and documentation skills.
* Willingness to travel for site visits, inspections, and commissioning when required.
