This is how you will make the difference
As Managing Director, you will develop and ensure the achievement of the organisation's strategic objectives. You will translate these objectives into a business plan and manage the preparation, monitoring, and adjustment of the P&L. Additionally, you will act as an ambassador focused on business development, promoting the organisation's value proposition while maintaining intensive contact with customers and scientific associations. You will safeguard the quality, scientific integrity, and ethics of business processes, striving for operational excellence in a customer-intimate environment and continuously exploring opportunities for improvement and development. Lastly, you will build a cohesive team of highly qualified employees and foster close collaboration with the support services and the other business units of the larger organisation.
What you bring
You, as the ideal Managing Director, will see yourself in the following:
* MSc or PhD in a relevant scientific field;
* At least ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech sector;
* Extensive experience as a people leader;
* Familiarity with the role of a CRO in the drug development process;
* Good insight into relevant markets and a good understanding of customer expectations;
* Scientific insights to support the team during development phases;
* Leadership experience in an analytical laboratory is highly favoured;
* Open personality with decisiveness, persuasiveness, and strong communication skills;
* Strong team player, coach, and leader;
* You are fluent in English and feel comfortable speaking Dutch.
