Work Arrangement: Full-time (40 hours/week, 5 days per week)
As an Enterprise Architect and Agile Coach at bpost, you will define architecture strategy, improve governance, and enhance the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will work closely with agile teams and stakeholders to successfully deliver scalable solutions aligned with bpost's business goals. This role focuses on SDLC optimization, fostering innovation in cloud and microservices technologies, and supporting agile transformation through leadership and collaboration. Your mission will also include mentoring teams on architectural best practices and supporting ongoing technical decisions.

Responsibilities

Must Have
* 7+ years in architecture and SDLC roles
* Proven Agile leadership experience
* Strong knowledge of Java, NodeJS, and Angular
* Experience with cloud (AWS, Azure)
Nice to have
* Public sector experience
* Prior experience at bpost
* Knowledge of Dutch and French
* Familiarity with event-driven architecture
Key Responsibilities
* Architectural Design & Strategy: Translate business drivers into technical solutions that are secure, scalable, and efficient. Design and define principles, guidelines, technical and architectural frameworks that align with bpost's business and infrastructure needs.
* SDLC Improvement: Lead efforts to continuously improve the SDLC, implementing best practices and ensuring alignment with Agile methodologies. Guide teams to enhance development workflows and reduce friction in the software delivery process.
* Architecture governance: Develop frameworks and mechanisms to improve control on architectural decisions while maintaining business value.
* Agile Leadership: Drive the architectural approach within an Agile framework, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business and technical goals. Take a leadership role in Agile ceremonies and lead by example in a "show and tell" style.
* Collaboration & Guidance: Act as a key decision-maker and mentor for teams, ensuring technical designs are communicated effectively and understood across all stakeholders. Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure consistent and strategic implementation.
* Architectural Runway: Develop and plan architectural runway for business initiatives, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
* Technology Adoption & Innovation: Foster the adoption of state-of-the-art technologies and practices within the organization, especially in areas such as cloud computing, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Solution Support: Provide ongoing technical support during Agile ceremonies and development cycles, ensuring that solutions are aligned with the overall architecture.
Your Profile:

* Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and communicating complex technical concepts clearly and effectively. Ability to drive decision-making and influence stakeholders.
* SDLC & CI/CD: Deep understanding of SDLC best practices, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, and continuous delivery pipelines. Familiarity with mobile design/architecture (iOS/Android) is a plus.
* Software & Tools: Expertise in Java (JEE/Spring Boot), NodeJS (Typescript) and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and related technologies (REST/JSON, AVRO). Experience with front-end technologies (Angular) is a plus.
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of architectural design principles and techniques. Proven experience with public cloud architectures (AWS, Azure).
* Agile Tools: Proficient in using Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and collaborative EA repositories to facilitate collaboration and maintain alignment within cross-functional teams.
* Languages: Proficiency in English is required, and fluency in at least one local language (Dutch/French) is a plus.
