Are you interested in providing tailored solutions to our key customers and partners? Then you might be the right fit to join our Software Delivery team as a Customer Solution Architect. You'll play a key role in our success with large customers and strategic partnerships, which have been an essential part of our business since the foundation of Materialise.
Responsibilities
* Act as the direct link between our key customers and partners, and the software product and services teams
* Engage with account management when an “off-the-shelf” solution is insufficient for a customer’s needs
* Build deep relationships with customers' stakeholders and leadership to enable them to be Materialise advocates
* Facilitate and activate solution-driven discussions, providing well-founded advice on requirements and guiding customers through the Materialise portfolio
* Define custom solutions by understanding customers’ business and technical needs, leveraging your knowledge of the Materialise portfolio
* Document architecture, solutions, and requirements, and prepare technical aspects of responses to tender requests
* Serve as the pre- and post-sales technical owner of customer solutions, ensuring full knowledge and overview across products
* Develop solutions using Materialise toolsets or translate technical solutions to stakeholders within our software product and services teams
* Monitor solution progress, acting as a single technical point of contact between customers and engineering teams
* Ensure correct implementation and delivery of solutions at customer sites, and hand knowledge over to support teams in cooperation with the project manager
* Remain the technical point of contact throughout the solution delivery lifecycle
* Develop strategic solution roadmaps with customers and partners, supporting them in their 3D printing journey with solutions such as Next-Gen Build Processors, machine control platforms, tailored automation solutions, and factory management solutions
* Drive the solution roadmaps of global product and services teams for the additive manufacturing market
* Report directly to HQ in Leuven, Belgium
* Contribute to continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and group discussions within your peer group
Your profile
* Problem solver and self-learner with an analytic mindset
* Able to develop an idea from proof of concept through prototype to commercial product in collaboration with stakeholders
* Deep knowledge of software development lifecycle and development pipeline (idea to production)
* Able to adapt content and style to the intended audience
* Very comfortable communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
* Very comfortable speaking to executives, IT management, and developers
* Strong command of the English language
* Willingness to travel to customer sites to facilitate technical discussions
* Hands-on experience developing in Python for production use
* Hands-on experience in testing (pytest and unit testing)
* Experience working in an Azure DevOps, CI/CD, TFS, and Git environment
* Understanding of SQL and NoSQL principles and experience creating ad-hoc queries using Jupyter notebooks and Microsoft SQL Studio
* Ideal candidates will have more than three years of experience in the IT industry or IT technical sales with a proven track record of solution delivery expertise
* Additive manufacturing industry knowledge and/or experience in integrations with business systems (SAP, CRM, etc.) is a plus.
* Experience in documenting computer systems/deployments/interactions using a structured approach, such as C4, 4+1, UML
* General knowledge of TCP/IP Networking, the OSI networking model
* General knowledge of Markup formats Markdown, ReStructured Text, HTML, XML, and related standards
* General knowledge of Microsoft server-based technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.
* General knowledge of Linux / AWS
