Deputy Project Manager – Hydrogen
In response to the climate emergency, John Cockerill Hydrogen develops innovative solutions for the production and distribution of green hydrogen, a key lever for decarbonizing industries and transportation. To strengthen our team and ensure the success of ambitious projects, we are looking for a dynamic and committed Deputy Project Manager.
As a Deputy Project Manager, you will assist the Project Manager in executing projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, costs, and quality. You will play a key role in coordinating teams, technical monitoring, and financial management.
Main Responsibilities
Project Coordination
* Collaborate with the Project Manager to define priorities and ensure their implementation.
* Participate in planning and updating project schedules.
* Organize and lead follow-up meetings (kick-off, contract review, progress meetings).
* Ensure smooth communication between internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Financial and Budget Management
* Monitor budgets and analyze discrepancies with proposed adjustments.
* Prepare and track client invoicing as well as supplier payments.
* Contribute to the preparation of monthly dashboards to ensure financial transparency.
Technical Monitoring
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Coordinate inspections, follow-ups, and shipments with suppliers.
* Write and update progress reports to ensure optimal visibility of the project’s performance.
Continuous Improvement
* Participate in optimizing tools and processes related to project management.
* Collect and analyze feedback to improve internal practices.
Your Profile
* Engineering degree or equivalent in a technical field (energy, chemistry, mechanics, etc.).
* Experience in industrial project management, ideally in hydrogen or renewable energy.
* Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, SAP, Office Suite).
* Minimum B2 level in English, another language is an asset.
* Team spirit, rigor, and organization.
* Availability for occasional international travel.
